Flax is one of the most sustainable raw materials in the world. Irrigated only with rainwater during the growth period, flax is highly resilient and requires fewer pesticides and fertilisers than other textile crops such as cotton. Flax is also a zero-waste crop, every part of the plant is used in the production of linen, and by-products become flaxseed and linseed oil. 100% biodegradable, like wool, linen biodegrades over the course of just a few months.
